                        Hi everyone.....I have been reading this thread, and I am confused. Can you airbrush future???? I have always been brushing it on with decent results, but if I can airbrush it, that would be great. Do you airbrush it straight out of the bottle, or do you thin it???? I assumed it was too thick to airbrush??!!

                        Yes, you can airbrush Future, and also straight from the bottle. NEVER; NEVER THIN Future. Please take a tour to the Swanny webpage:

                        Why the admonition on never thinning Future? Although I usually do use it straight from the bottle for a gloss coat, I recently used it for flat in which I combined it 3:1 with Tamiya's Flat Base and thinned some with Tamiya's acrylic thinner. The resultant mix sprayed well, and didn't have any adverse effects.

                        yeah I know a few people that have talked about that here... so far I have either used straight future or thinned it with a little water, but I think this model I am on now I am gonna try the flat route... see how it pans out.

                        I always airbrush Future straight from the bottle. It really doesn't need to be thinned. When you start using thinners you run the risk of chemical reactions that can kill the model.

                        I remember converting a really big aztek jar 'cap' to fit onto a big bottle of future, and a real sized drinking straw Big Smile [:D]

                        I used that when I painted my friend's bike. custom work done

                        I airbrush future straight out of the bottle, but in light misty coats. If you put too thick of a coat on, it can start to 'run' & even dry that way.... as I found out the hard way a while back.
