Seal the MM metalizer with MM metalizer sealer and allow it to cure before you apply the oil paint and mineral spirit wash and you should be fine.

As always with any new technique, your best approach is to test this on a junk model or scrap piece of styrene before applying it to the wondrous models that you have spent months building.

Cheers

You don't really have to go to that much trouble to get into banjo playing.

Hey all, I wondering if any of you know what the best type of wash for a metalizer is. I ususally use oil paints with mineral spirits, but have never tried it on MM metalizer. I'm hesitant to use the ol' standby because I'm so pleased with the finish and am sure that unless one of you tell me it's okay, I'll strip the finish, melt the plastic, burn my finger tips off, and wind up with playing the banjo on my porch with my feet.
