Compressor Feet
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, September 24, 2004 2:09 PM
I have a Paasche D500 compressor driving a VL brush and it walks all over
the floor with the vibration. The dinky grommet-type rubber feet just don't
do the job.

So I put the whole thing in a box with a big slab of foam, but it is now
over heating.

I've been looking for some rubber suction-cup feet, about 1-2 in. in
diameter with a 1/4 in. bolt for mounting on the D500 without success. I've
looked in all the hardware stores in town, but they tell me they can't get
parts like that any more.

I've tried every conceivable Goggle search I can think of, but can only come
up with industrial suppliers with no easy to order function on their web
sites.

It occurred to me that maybe I'm looking in the wrong type of store.

Any ideas where I might look? I've just about given up. Or maybe someone
has tried a different type of mount for the Paasche compressor...

I set mine on a piece of carpet. It wanders the world no more, but it is easy to move if I have to.

I may get so drunk, I have to crawl home. But dammit, I'll crawl like a Marine.

strap it down to a piece of plywood and put rubber sticky sheets on the bottom of the plywood. Or nail the plywood to the floor
