First off.... hello all,second,I just got done painting my tank with Tamiya flat acriylic.My question is...... what should I now use for a top coat?,one that won't make it glossy looking.Third,slould I do a "wash" befor I top coat or wait until after,I top coat the tank?Thanks for all the advice people.

I suggest you use future then wash and decals then tamiya clear flat + future

Ryan, would I mix the tamiya clear flat + future,or use them seperately at the end?

You need to place your decals and wash on a smooth, glossy surface or you are liable to get silvering in the decals because of the matte finish. The weathering will be difficult to remove if it is on a flat surface as well.

My recommendation would be to use Future to get a smooth finish, place your decals and then do whatever washing and weathering you intend to do, and finally spray everything with a coat of flat acrylic clear.

yeah: Future, then decal,
then tamiya flat base + future 1:3 for dead flat, which I believe you would want
