It's a general purpose cleaner and degreaser. Over here it comes in a purple spray bottle.

tominator, If you wand something to clean your bits with, i just use the cheap gernal purpose thinnes from super cheap. It comes in a 4 litre can and it is between $10 and $14. I think.Wink [;)] I got some last year on special for $10.Big Smile [:D] It will last you for ages. It is a lacyuce thinner so take appropriate procusions with it.

tominator, I haven't tried the $3 spray cans but from other cans that i have used for vaires things which were the same price i think the results would be less than satisfactory.Wink [;)] I have seen good results recieved by using the other other spray paint that they have. I think that its powerplus or something it comes in two can sizes 150,375ml. these retail for $7.95,$12.95. For striping the paint If it is an acrylic just use metho or windex. For an enamal you could see if you can get some coastic soda. I don't know were you can get this from, maybe a chemical supply place could point you in the right direction.Wink [;)]

tominator, I just had a look at bunnings and they stock caustic soda for sale. It come as in a crystal form and you had it to water. Follow the directions on the container. This stuff is nasty so wear glove and safety glasses when you use it. It costs $6.20 for 500g or 13.54 for 2kg. This is the same stuff that is what is in oven cleaner which some people use to stripe paint. Hope this helps.Wink [;)]

tominator, When I'v used it I'v found that it is not a bad idea to let it soak for a few hour then see if it is flaking off or you can scrub it off. Some times when the paint is realy stuborn it helps if you sand the paint first so that it can soak into the paint to release it.
