                        OK. My wife threw my paint booth out of the basement. I now has it in the garage which is not heated.

                        The question is, is it OK to leave the compressor there during the winter? It gets really cold here in the North East.

                        It shouldn't hurt it, compressors on job sites sit outside year round. If it's an oil-type compressor the oil may thicken and have to be warmed before it will flow. If at any time you turn it on and it doesn't want to start up, turn it off IMMEDIATELY (locked rotors draw a ton of current and can fry an armature winding very quickly) and take it inside to wam up.
