Frisket should fit the bill just fine. It's self adhesive and translucent. It's also available at virtually any art supply store. I've never run it through a laser, but the heat from the fuser may cause problems. It's usually matte finish so it might work through an ink jet.

I need to paint on a special variation of Nationalist Chinese roundels. It doesn't have the blue disc background. Just the white 12-pointed sun. (Yes. it's the sun, not a star)

So I am thinking maybe I can find some kind of material like the tracing paper and cut the mask from computer printout. The problem is, the tracing paper isn't tacky.

Is there any thing out there like a translucent masking tape? I would think it has to have some kind of transparent backing paper so I can lay it on top of the printout. Or better yet, it's laser printer friendly.
