Air Brush Pressures?
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, May 7, 2003 11:39 PM
OK, so I finally got a compressor for my airbrush to replace using those stupid cans (geez, I could'a bought three compressors with the money I spent on cans!). I'm shooting acrylics and laquers through an Aztec A470. What are the best pressures to use?

Thanks for any advice.

I usually run mine between 15 -30 psi.

For enamels and acrylics, I usually use about 18-20psi... and for Lacquers about 12psi... except Alclad whic I run at about 9-10psi.

I have found I get better results, and more control with thinner paints, and lower pressures.
