A new oil paint for washes.

Hi Guys,
Just in case somebody doesn't know. Windsor and Newton have introduced a new line of Oil Paints which use a modified form of Linseed Oil to enable the paint to be thinned with water. So an Oil paint wash without the worry of the thinner stripping your base color.they also have a new metallic range a lot like printers ink used by Verlinden so often on armor figures.real aluminium flakes in a linseed oil base for the silver gives a really effective suit of armor or paint chipping on A/C.

Sounds interesting.

I've not used oils before, just water colours, for the very reasons above.

One to watch out for on my next trip to the art shop.

I've been using the Max Grumbacher line of oil paint that can also be thinned with water or thinner. I thin them with water and love the performance.

I've used the W&N Oils that thin in water and they're pretty good. As a side note you can thin them with standard oil thinners as well if you want, it just depends on what barrier coat you've applied over your decals.

Haven't tried the metallics yet, I might have to check those out.
