Tamiya X-31 Titanium Gold
Posted by Bones-coa on Thursday, November 4, 2004 6:28 PM
Can someone please decribe to me or tell me another brands equivelent to this color? The Tamiya color swatch on www.ipmsstockholm.org doesn't show this color and I have no idea what it is. Is it a burnt metal color with a bit of yellow in it?

Thanks.

Ok, I found a swatch. http://www.tamiya.com/english/products/list/acrylic_1.htm

Now, what is the color REALLY supposed to represent? It's being used in a few places on the Tamiya Fairey Swordfish and I can't seem to find much.

I see the colour quiet often called for on their 1/12 Bike Models.

It's just a light gold colour. It has a glossy metallic sheen to it. I find it good for burnt metal. I don't think it's meant to represent anything in particular, it's just another one of Tamiyas generic colours.

If you do a 50/50 mixture of silver and gold, you'd be pretty close to the color.
