Before you spray the decals, test a unused decal.
I just got two other Eduard kits released in the same year and the decals look and work just fine.

I don't have any choice. I suppose I should spray them with decal fixer (of which I am out) before using. I think I'll test. This is, BTW, the first kit I've ever done with chips of silver included on the decals for weathering. I think doing everything for the modeler is getting out of hand. I mean, these pre-painted PE parts are hynotically pretty, but decals for weathered spots? I dunno...

Polly Scale's D&RGW BLD. Cream is a great match. I just finished air brushing my Fokker E.III in that color and it looks great!
By the way, if you are planning on using the kit decals, don't. If your kit is anything like mine, the decals will disinagrate when you put them in water.
Hope this helps,

Need doped linen shade

I posted another version of this mssg on the Aircraft side. I need a good mix to simulate doped linen on my new Morane-Saulnier N Profipak from Eduard. It's a beatiful kit and I want a paint job to match. But I don't have time to mail order off the shelf doped linen, and I've found them to be pretty lifeless paints in my limited bipe and WW I experience. Is there a good, accurate mixture from paints more people keep around the old workbench?
Thanks,
Tom
