Christmas came early

I really like my recently new Iwata HP CS. I did however order a Pre-Set handle for it, as the trigger finger is a little twitchy nowadays. It arrived yesterday, fits nicely and seems very smooth. I’ll let you all know how it works. Maybe I wouldn’t need the pre-set handle if I knocked off the 2-3 cups of coffee before painting…

Copterguy, If you can beleive it my bother in law was throwing the table out. I see your in Canada, went up there for the first time this summer neat place. Good news everybody I located the camera last nite, now where did I put the paint.

haha obviously you didn't read my post... I am fishing for a HP-CS for Xmas... the wife came home today and saw my squadron catalog had just come in... told me to order something to put under the tree... she didnt' specifically say it *HAD* to be out of that catalog!!! hahahah (<insert maniacal laughter here>)

and if all I can get out of it is a HP-CR then so be it! just want to try one out... love my 155 but always in search of something better...


And now back to your normal programing...

(btw, dont think I would stop using the 155 regardless... it's still a nice brush)

I have started using quite thin mixes (1:2 paint to thinner) and applying several thin coats so this should work out just fine.

Jim, the 4500 is the same airbrush as the eclipse HP-CS. they just have to put a numerical code on all there products it seams, every airbrush co. does it. the thinning ratio is all personal preference, but i've found that the HP-CS really likes thin paint. 50/50 minimum on my end, but you'll have to play with it and satisfy your personal needs. i've never had a problem with acrylics or enamels in my eclipse. later.

I think that's the airbrush I plan on getting this weekend. What's the 4500? Is it the same as the Eclipse HP-CS? Any problems spraying acrylics? How much do you need to thin them for the .35 mm tip? Also, where did you get that awsome workbench in your other post (the one in your shop). Is that from Home Depot? Anyway, enjoy the new toy and thanks for the info.

lol! sounds like me when I broke out that Badger 155, it was such a marked difference than my previous brushes I sat there and paint cardboard after cardbourd piece with fine lines for like 3 days straight... just cause I could!!!

Looking forward to an Iwata or Omni down the line... probably a CS though... CR if I dont play my cards right with the wife!

Chris I would post some pics, but Im afraid I painted my camera camo and I cant seem to find it, But I do have some good news I located the shop late last nite.

sounds awesome Thad!! so, post some pics of those camo jobs asap friend!! the HP-CS is the best airbrush i've ever used. later.
