Tamiya produce a range of colours in their AS (Aircraft Spray) spray cans. They are excellent lacquer based sprays that dry fast and are smooth and low sheen in finish. I use AS-12 BMF all the time as it is an excellent and rocksolid natural metal finish.

recommended paints

Matchbox 1:72 F9F-5 Panther finished in AS-8 USN sea blue with Polyscale flat for "in-scale" weathered finish

cheers

OK, so whats the deal with these colors. They only give you one color recomendation in their instructions ie AS-8 US Navy blue. Thats fine, but Ive never seen these paints anywhere, and besides that why do I need to buy these when I have thinner already? I just dont get it. Maybe someone can enlighten me.
