Gunze Sangyo paint?

Gunze Sangyo paints, IMO, are among the best model paints there are.
I use both their acrylic and enamel ranges, also really like their weathering color set.

You will find quiet a few members here that use those colors.

I've not used them but a couple of guys down at the HS swear by them and I've seen their stuff on display... top rate!

gunze sangyo paint is the same pigment as tamiya. notice the similarities in packaging and performance

Lol I’ve never heard of this paint before and its so popular. I’ve never seen them at my LHS. The first time I've seen them, it was in new 2005 Squadron catalog.

Love Gunze sangyo paints. They're all I'll use for camouflage colours now. They go on really smoothly and have alot better range of colours than Tamiya (including RLM and FS colours). I'd say they are a better airbrush paint than Tamiya. The only reason I still use Tamiya sometimes is because they are easier for me to get.

I switched to Gunze acrylics last year, and use them almost exclusively.

I've tried Lifecolour, Tamiya, Vallejo & Model Master, but Gunze are definitely the best.

They have also just brought out a range of buffable metalic acrylics as well.

You can use either Tamiya acrylic thinner or water as your thinning agent, but the Tamiya minimises tip dry when air brushing.

thanks tankmaster, you can get them at your LHS i suppose, but if they dont have it then mail order is the way to go then

The next time I need paint I’ll get the Gunze Sangyo stuff.
