Airbrush for ship?

I would go for a reasonably nice AB, like say, a 155 anthem by badger. It's 60$ for the set. All you'll need is the compressor after that.

If you're a ship builder and a novice airbrusher, I would think that a single action unit like the Paasche H would be ideal. It might not provide the super precise spray control that you could get with a higher end double action unit, but any camouflage patterns in 1/350 would need to be masked in any case, so I don't think that would be an issue. On the other hand, it would be a lot easier to use and probably less expensive than the higher end alternatives.

For a compressor, I have a Badger 180 which was a little pricey at about $140 US. You may not even need a airbrush specific compressor. A lot of people here seem to use general purpose compressors such as what one might pick up in the local hardware stores, such as Home Depot or WalMart in America. Poke around through this forum for threads that have discussed these types of compressors.
