Have you ever used Gunze Mr Surfacer.

I have a bottle and have been said that is an excellent primer, unfortunately the label is in Japanese and I don't know how to thinned, if can be airbrushed and how to clean it after the job is done.

Any advise, it can be thinned with water / Iso as the Gunze paint??

Thank you

Mr. Surfacer is a great product that works well in an airbrush if it's thinned properly. Otherwise, you get those "cobwebs" showing up. It dries to a very smooth finish if you use the 1000 or the 1200.

However it is lacquer based. I use acetone to thin it as that's what was recommended to me but others here on the forum use lacquer thinner. Pick your poison. Lacquer thinner is cheaper though.

The clean up procedure is the same as any other lacquer paint.

Hope this helps.
