White, yellow and red IMO are the worst covering colors. Best lay down a coat of white primer or Mr. Base White prior to brushing those colors on.

Has anybody every noticed that the color white in acrylics seems to be the worst covering color of them all? I think I have a bottle of every manufacturer's white paint. none of them seem to cover well as far as brushing, often requireing three or more coats. Weird!

Am I alone with this problem?

No
White, acrylic or enamel don't cover well at all.
Yellow is almost as bad.
I always lay a layer, let it dry, lay down another layer and let it dry.
I may go thru 6 or 7 spray sessions before I have the coverage I'm looking for.
