I use a Thayer&Chandler Vega2000 and its perfect for applying base coats down to some really small tight camouflage paint jobs which I do on my 1/72 Luftwaffe aircraft , its also really easy to clean breaking down into three seperate parts which take less than a minute to clean each! It was also reasonably cheap to buy costing me only $42 US from bearair along with a fine needle and nozzle which only costs a few dollars!
You should look into purchasing one!

just to let ya know, it seems the Badgers and Iwatas are the most popular, with the Omni 4000, Badger 155 and the Iwata HP-CS or HP-CR topping out the bunch... might want to read in those posts about them and it will help you decide what is for you... what type of modeling do you do? What is perfectably suitable for 1/35 armor might not be as good for 1/72 aircraft etc... but there are some brushes that fit both scenarios.... it all depends on what you do with it as to what kind is best for you...

Morning! Just scroll down the page and go to page two in the painting and airbrushing section here, and you will see a lot of posts from people in the exact same situation and the answers! All wanting a new (or better) airbrush... Badger, Iwata, Paasche and Omni seem always to be the most popular and best loved by their users... check out the posts and if a couple catch your eye ask us about them and the ones who have them can tell ya all (sometimes more) than you need to know!

Good luck!

New Airbrush?
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, December 11, 2004 7:50 AM
Good Morning Modelers,
I'm in the market for a new Airbrush and compressor. I paint tanks and figures. I'm fairly new to modeling. I have an airbrush currently it is a Badger 350. I'm looking for something like a dual action one. I'm not sure which brand to research. I'm looking for a good quality one, doesn't have to be the most expensive. Thanks for the help in advance.
