Interior color for P-63 Kingcobra
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, December 26, 2004 11:57 PM
I need some help. I recently aquired the P-63 Kingcobra from MPM. The instructions call for interior green to be used for the cockpit. However, recent research shows that Bell used a different shade of green for some of their aircraft: bronze green(medium green is a good match). If anyone can help resolve this, please let me know.

I read something similar when I was building an SBD awhile back, the reference said it was a little more yellow than the interior green by most manufacturers and I forget what they suggested, I believe it was as simple as adding a little yellow to the paint.. I will look it up and see if I can find it...

Bell used their own version of Interior Green. Model Master "French Khaki" is a very close match.

Thanks, guys. Unfortunatly, Vallejo is almost impossible to find down here in my area. Testors is readily available, though. I'll check it out.
