Actually, anything with fibers in it will polish to some degree.

You could be right, Mike. I'll bet polishing cloth normally used for waxing a car would do a great job.

Joe, glad it worked for you. Funny how the little things make a big difference.

Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise. Many men know a great deal, and are all the greater fools for it. There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool. But to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom. " Charles Spurgeon

I think you are right, Mike. Whoever it was it's a good idea and I'm grateful for it.

Try a plain old paper coffee filter. I don't recall who originally posted that idea here (Rick? Robert?) but it works very well.

Grainy Acrylics

I'll continue to experiment with the thinning ratio and air pressure to resolve the grainy acrylic finish. But in the meantime, I thought I would ask you experienced painters if sanding acrylic paints for a smoother finish is a good idea. I would guess using somwhere between 2000-3000 grit would work but should I still worry about scratching the paint? Please help, my ED-209 kit needs this vital information in order to be completed! Thanks!
