paint charts
Posted by mooseman on Saturday, January 8, 2005 10:12 AM
Hi everyone

I'm having some trouble trying to find equivalent colours. At present I am building an Academy F4 Corsair and Hasegawa A6M5 Zero. Both mention colours in the paint schemes that I can't seem to find the Tamiya or Humbrol match. The Corsair mentions FS15042 (gloss navy blue) - can i use Tamiya X4? The Zero calls for "IJA Green (Nakajima)" on top and "Green (Mitsubishi) underside" - any ideas?

I'm limited to just Humbrol enamels and Tamiya acrylics (much preferring the latter) without having to mail order any other make.

Models on hold until answers so please...anyone!Big Smile [:D]

there was a chart printed in an old FSM that had equivalent colors for different manufacturers. I'll see if I can dig it up. That would be a good sticky for the forums
