I have heard that also John.
I think Dru Blair used it or still does, I am not sure.

Thanks for the tip on paints there John, even though it wasn't pointed at me. I'll use it just the same Smile [:)]

Jeff, I can't wait to see some of your work, please post what you can as soon as you can. I love to see other people's artwork.

BADGER!!!

I got some Comart samples I am playing with, sure could use a Sotar (hint hint Wink [;)]). I am working on some board Illistr. commissions (small fry stuff)
I like the way they spray, and man can you drop the pressure on them and still get a line (4000G). I hope they have a better range of colors then I have seen, think I'll get over to Coast and take a peek.
I was over there the other day and ran across this really increditable silver paint (Lacquar) that was quite expensive (over 1k a gallon). I stood there dreaming as I looked at this stuff... "hmmm tamiya's Porsche 911 Carrera would look good with that on it" I am such a model geek.
I got some Tee pics for ya soon too, making a catalog now.

First of all, those ninja's better be able to dodge 230 gr hollow points from my S&W 4506. Wink [;)]
Secondly, if they did succeed then I would sell the Iwatas on Ebay and buy more Badgers. Laugh [(-D]Laugh [(-D]Laugh [(-D]

Nah, I'm going to stick to paper illustration. That auto/helmet type of stuff is not for me I think.

Much thanks for the info though Mike.

That is probably because they advertise them as being uro friendly and you can clear coat them with uro clear.

I don't think this paint is what you would want for illustration work Josh, unless you plan on trying it out on automotive type stuff.

Thanks John.

That is what I did but maybe I went a little too hastily. I'll have to try some more.
Yes this paint is expensive, but I received a full set of "samples" from the UPS man the other day. Wink [;)]

Hey MIke, I thought about trying out the imaginair paint but it is a bit expensive. I use autoair and its okay. I can tell you this, you have to spray the autoair candies on in thin coats or they don't come out too good. Maybe try the same with the imaginair.

Auto Air is not a uro, it is a water-based acrylic as is this Imagine Air.

The only small bit of info I have found is on Badger's website under ImagineAir, but there isn't much info there. It retails for $15 for a 4 oz bottle so it is not cheap....Of course that is still cheaper by the ounce than Model Master, Tamiya or any of the others for models. Big Smile [:D]

Nothing yet Josh. I just received these paints yesterday so I am still trying to get used to them. My results this morning were lousy with the Candy colors.

Is it a urethane like that auto air stuff? I've not heard of that one. The stuff that I got was more like inks than real paint, with an eyedropper in the lid. You just shake it slightly and squeeze as much as you need to into your color cup. Can you give a link to a place where I could read about it some? I might have to put a buck or two into getting a jar to see how it flies.

I was just curious if anyone here has tried this paint on maybe car models or something? I just received some samples to try as I am looking for a paint for hard surfaces other than plastic models. It seems nice so far and I was able to spray some really fine lines straight out of the bottle as it is pretty thin.
This paint is similar to Createx's Auto Air paints although I hear it is much better.
