Badger needle questions...
Posted by Jeeves on Wednesday, January 19, 2005 10:06 PM
Firstly- where is the best place online to buy replacement needles? I tried at the local AC Moore- but their selection was quite limited Sad [:(]

Second-- I just purchased a 100LG (medium tip) from dixieart and did find what I though was a replacement needle at the store-- I tried using the manual to find the part # of the needle- and it was confusing. I bought the needle matching the #, but it is a Large....will this work in the medium LG??

Mike,

That needle will only work if you have a large tip also.
There are several places to buy the needles online including Dixie Art, BearAir, etc.
In regards to being confused by the parts, the needles are numbered 50-0401, 50-0402, and 50-0403. Those are fine, medium, and large needles respectively. So you will want the 50-0402 for a spare medium needle. Wink [;)]

Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise. Many men know a great deal, and are all the greater fools for it. There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool. But to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom. " Charles Spurgeon

Thanks Mike--

What confused me was the diagram from the manual that came with my brush-- it had the parts listed for the 100SG/ 100/ 100LG-- so I assumed the last number referred to the LG only- not all three Sad [:(]...figures the store I got it from had fine and large needles- but no mediums Sad [:(]

I had the same thing when I ordered my 155... no one local had needles for it at the time so I went out to dixie art and got 3 of them... now the local Michales has them in stock so I am not as worried about bending one and being stuck without the brush for awhile...
