Updating my original post of 1/13 on this subject ...
Bought a cleaner from a dealer on Ebay who was selling new ones. After researching several airbrush studios around the country that I knew, settled on a solvent called Aquasol. After all the pieces came togewther, plunked my airbrush in the cleaner, and it worked like a charm. Follows are details if anyone else wants to go the route:
Look up seller on Ebay called "soniclean_bestbuy". He has a cleaner for $21.95 plus $14.90 S&H Priority Mail + ins. -- a bit stiff, but got the cleaner in 4 days including MLK's birthday. Aquasol was from DickBlick art supplies (www.dickblick.com). Get his home page and put in Aquasol in his search box.
I think I'll work with the normal flush out after each color, then use the ultrasonic cleaner at the end of the session. Let me hear any questions or comments if anyone else wants to try this. I think the emphasis on airbrushing in the current issue of FSM will bring a few on board. Now I have to decide if I want to really get in deep,and buy another brush with gravity feed for the fine work.
