Humbrol mini paints & acrylics
Posted by osher on Saturday, January 22, 2005 6:00 PM
This might sound silly, but I have loads of Humbrol mini paints, and I'd like to know: are they enamel or acrylic?! Or are they mixed? Also, what are Humbrol acrylics like? You rarely see them.

osher; Humbrol enamels come in small 14ml metal tins, their acrylics are in plastic containers, so if your paints are all in metal tins they are enamels.

Here in Australia the enamels are widely available but their acrylic range is limited in both their colour range and availability. I have used some of their acrylic paints and have not been happy with them.

Hope this helps.
Wayne I enjoy getting older, especially when I consider the alternative.

Oh, apologies! By mini paints I mean those little plastic pots containing small amounts of paint you get inside kits, not their larger 14ml tinlets

If the enamel tin are available to you get them, I use them exclusivly (with MM filling in the color they dont offer) for all me enamel needs. They are very good.

Oh, the enamels are fine! It's just that, sometimes Airfix bundle in these tiny plastic pots of paint, and I don't know if they are enamel or acrylic. I know at least some are, but are all of them acrylic?
