c02 air system
Posted by glock232 on Thursday, February 3, 2005 5:36 AM
Hi guys n gals!
Finally got my C02 system set up after 3 months of trying. The hardest part was finding the regulator at a price i didnt have to re-mortgage my house!
So i thought I would pass along the savings for all who may be interested...

is a link to several different regulators, i personally got the Commercial grade double gague. Only reason i picked this one is because it has a handle on the PSI adjuster so you dont need to mess around with a screwdriver to make adjustments. It took about 4 days to get in once i ordered it. I took it to my local hardware/plumbing store, and had them fit it with the correct size threads i needed to attach my airhose, which is from badger. It cost about 5 dollars for them to pop off the in-line on / off valve, and replace it with a new one, as well as the male/male threads.
I got it home hooked it up and it works like a charm, now i can brush late at night withought waking up the wifey. (not to mention i live over a funeral home so i can even brush while they have a service going on without interrupting them)

So hopefully if anyone else is considering going to a C02 system this will help them get started all in all it was less than 50 dollars to get it working (not including the actualy CO2 fees). Also you might want to check with your local gas supplier, I almost bought my own bottle rather than paying rental fees, however im glad i didnt because they do not fill 20lb bottles only exchange them!

Yep.... most places only exchange the cylinders...... I have a single stage (guage) regulator on a 20 cu ft bottle.....(it light enough to know when it's getting empty.....
