you could use either silly putty or blue tak poster putty... roll it into "sausages" and lay it out in the pattern you wish... just be careful and stay between them when spraying... another way is use the putty to stick paper templates just above the surface of the aircraft... (unless you want more diffusion to the camo them stick them up higher above the surface)


I recently used low tack frisket from hobby lobby with success on a risky acrylic paint job... not sure it will work in your case...

Hey all. I'm looking to chip the paint off a P-40. I laid down a base of Testors Alluminium metalizer. I was going to do the camoflage using acrylics, since I know they'll chip right off the metalizer, but how do I mask the acrylics for the camoflage pattern without pulling off the acryllics before I'm ready?

The enamel under acryllic has worked before, but then I was using just one solid color.
