Tamiya Rattle Can White
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, February 17, 2005 10:10 AM
Hi all,
Recently I started to use Tamiya rattle-cans and have pretty mixed results with them.
One strange thing that happens a lot: spraying Tamiya gloss white gives a 'dirty' yellow tint. I use white Tamiya Fine Surface Primer as a primer.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for any help on this,
Regards, Gertjan

It might depend on what white you're using.

Tamiya Racing White (TS7) has a yellow/cream color cast. It's designed to match their vintage Honda F-1 car.

If you want plain gloss white, try Tamiya Pure White (TS26).

Guess you must be right, Matt: it IS TS7 I am using. I will try TS26.
Thank you!
