confused

Well I cant speak for others, but I bought a Campbell Hausfield very similer to their FP2040 model
I bought mine at Wal-Mart about a year and a half ago, goes to 100 psi, has pressure gage, easy to put in a air filter on the air line, has a 2 gallon storage tank, and is fairly quite. does what I need it to do without a problem, and I paid 95.00 for mine.

Very true. They get too hot from running all the time and die a young death.

i was also told that diaphram compressors tend to pulse a bit aswell. not to sure as i use a larger 2hp compressor

D500 is a diaphragm, and the diaphragm compressor prices are way too high. Diaphrams don't have a long lifespan. Hardware compressors with tanks are the way to go, in my opinion, but then you've gotta consider the noise that they make.

looked on bearair and saw the 360 universal for 85 dollars. i think thats the one ill be ordering. now, as for a compressor. ive been using canned air forever. i hate spraying out that liquid on my models! i saw the Paasche D500 Air Compressor on bearair for like 100. is that a good compressor? or would i be better off going to the local hardware store? and if so, what do i look for when im there, as far as capacity and PSI stuff?

yeah i was reading FSM and i saw an ad for the Badger 360 Universal and the Anthem. i liked those, i havent looked at prices yet if not im going to ask for the 150

Paasche H is one of those gems because everything about it is a good thing. It has its flawless design and long-running reputation for what it is, but that's the extent of it. It is what it is & that's all it is. It is far from being the most popular design in the model builder's corner of the airbrush world... much of the reasons listed previously. They're telling the truth when they speak highly of the H, but for us model builders, the H is not the best suited / most versatile design.

also check out the 155 Anthem... very easy to clean and some really fine control over the AB is possible!!!

edit - the 155 is double action internal mix...

I have the 150 and I like it . easy to clean and smooth action with good needle protection. You can comparison shop at both bearair.com and dixieart.com

I dont know squat about the Paashe H but bearair is a great site to get your guns from and those AB's you mentioned are all good... the 200 being the only single action on your list there.
