Badger 360 Universal

rufio - there are two ways to go with a compressor.. a hobby compressor or a commercial compressor from the hardware store, both will work for what ya want... from the hardware store a 2.5 HP compressor with a 2 gal tank will run you about $60 to $80 US... in the hobby line there is a reconditioned Thayer and Chandler you can get from the Badger website ( www.badger-airbrush.com ) for about $99.00

the only difference is the noise... (only major difference) the hardware store compressor will be louder than the hobby compressor. I use the industrial style one from Lowes I got for about $69 and have no probs or complaints from my wife... but if the 'rents (as you put it haha) have a problem with a buzzing sound in the house every 5 min or so then a hobby compressor is for you...

maybe you can use the old "just think if you wake up in the morning and have a flat, dad... you culd use the compressor to fill it up!" line on the father figure! haha of course the thought if him boldly holding a manly pneumatic nailgun may appeal to him as well!

I use a 360 for a while and love it but I like the 4000 better for modeling. I use the 360 in my business now.

yup, i just ordered it from dixieart, i cant wait to try it out. now i have to coax the parents for a compressor...hmmm...

I got my 360 for Christmas and love it. I normally use Model Master enamels (at a ratio of approx. 3:2) and with a little practice have become adept at using it. I think once you get accostum to it, you will enjoy using it too. As far as use goes, when using the bottle, I normally spray at around 18 psi. You can do really fine detail work when using the paint cup at 10-12 psi. The cup is small though, so if you're doing alot of painting, you'll need to keep refilling it. Some don't care for the brush because of that, but I don't find it that big a deal. Also there is no top on the cup. You need to hold it, tip down, abit below horizontal so it doesn't spill. This is not a big a deal as it sounds, because the angle allows keeps the tip out of the way and allows you to see your work. Cleaning this brush is a breeze, and if you search this forum there's a thread with a post by Mike V with a great cleaning method. Good luck, I'm sure you'll love the 360.

I like the 360 also.
I use it mainly for small parts or touch-ups as it is east to clean as was mentioned.
My main modeling airbrush is the Omni 4000, but the 360 is second.

i've been using the 360 for about a year now.. and its pretty much my main airbrush.. I pretty much put my badger 175 aside in case of emergencys...

I love the 360 because of its ease of cleaning and its ease of use.. .. i won't even mention the aztek's i started with as they can't even come close to the badger's..

my only wish is that I started with the 360... you can't go wrong with this airbrush...

Brent, I've had my Badger 360 for about one year and I really like it. It's ease of use helps make up for my lack of ability painting with airbrushes.
