Check out this Airbrush job
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, March 6, 2005 10:44 PM
I wanted to add my own episode in the "Check out this airbrush job" series copied directly from the MikeVCool [8D] - don't get mad at me Mike, imitation is after all the highest compliment Blush [:I]

Mike usually features a great artist in his series but in this episode a lesser known upstart or hacker as the case may be is presented. The piece is titled "Hot blue fast pc" or "What in the heck did you do to that computer??!!".

The artist or hacker is me and it is my friends computer case. He begged me to do it when it slipped out that I had an airbrush. Thus he is now stuck with it. At first I refused to do "blue flames" but he wanted them blue so blue they were.

Paint - Walmart rattlecans gloss black, white and blue. Black sprayed on from can. Flames masked with plain masking tape and newspaper. Blue and white decanted and sprayed by badger.

Enjoy.

Very nice I-beam.
Now you need to pinstripe the outer edges of the flames to make them pop! Wink [;)]

Yep, I told the owner it needed pinstripes but we never got around to it. This was done last year and now I don't even think he has it anymore. I think he sold it or something like that.Black Eye [B)]

Pretty cool! I'd like to do something like that one day, but I'll probably never get around to it. Did you mask the inside of it as well, or just empty it all out and let the chips fall where they may?

Didn't mask the insides. Sprayed right onto the cd-player even. Did mask the back though. Like all airbrushing, I tried to keep all spraying straight on so to minimize spray that would get through seams.

I would recommend taking the insides out and just spraying the case only if your going to do something like it yourself.
