Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 6:52 PM
I am trying this color out for the first time and I was wondering what I could use to thin it with. M/S, L/T or Floquil Thinner? Thanks for the help.

I use it a lot & normally don't find any need to thin it. It will thin with Lacquer thinner, which is what I use to clean the AB.

I use mineral spirits if needed.

Reefer white is supposed to be one of the better ones out there, especially when it is thinned with Diosol.

Thanks for the input. The guy at Hobbytown told me that floquil paint could only be thinned with floquil thinner. We all know he was was just trying to make a sale. I tried lacquer thinner and mineral spirits, both solvents worked fine. This is, without a doubt, the best white paint that I have ever used. Thanks for showing me the way.

I felt that same way when I first tried it. I love my Floquil.

I thin all Floquil paints with turp(entine). It seems to promote drying. I like Floquil too madda.
