Personally, I use lacquer thinner and quite a lot of it. I find that it needs to be thinned a lot more than any other paints and it's not uncommon to have more thinner than nailpolish. It goes on very thin and somewhat translucent, so I highly recommend putting a primer coat and a 'color basecoat' down before the nailpolish (a silver base coat can create some really neat effects no matter what color of nailpolish you put over it!!).

I've only built one kit with it, and it was more of an 'experiment' than an all-out effort. I do know that it does dry rock hard very quickly and can really be polished up nicely. My wife is already... (looking over shoulder to see if she's around)... *trained* (said quietly...) to give me her old colors that she doesn't want anymore. I've got more red and pinks than I'll ever use, but every now and then there's a cool 'cream' color and recently I got a neato green that I'm looking to try out!

I don't have any links handy, but I have seen several how-tos on other websites. Make sure you clean your airbrush thoroughly right after you use it and try not to let the stuff dry inside.

Experiment and have fun!!

I know that I have seen this in Fine Scale before, but what do you use to thin the polish and what ratio of polish to thinner should I use?Question [?]
