You might be able to straighten it out by rolling it firmly over a flat surface like a table, pressing it down with your fingers. Or try pressing it down with a sturdy wooden stick.
Could save you a few $.

.. would an ever so slightly bent tip of a needle on a double action Iwata airbrush cause it to splatter when first depressing down on the trigger?

All my pressure settings are the same as always, humidity the same, so all of thats ok.
