I don't normally prime my kits unless I've used resin or p/e sets on the kit. I found out the hard way how easy it is for paint to come off of resin or metal parts when those parts haven't been primed. I use Model Master primer, while others like to use automotive primers from a spray can.

Depends I guess on what you're building Gus. I build Armour and haven't used an all out primer yet. I use Tamiya Acrylics for all my main painting and just haven't found a need for it yet. The only thing that I will use is a localized primer on my seams to find out if they are completed filled / filed or not.

Do I have to use a primer?
What kind should I use?
Do I have to apply it to all pieces?
How many coats should I use?
