What are you guys using for clear top coats? I'm mostly interested in what is available in the UK.
I have used Humbrol Clear Cote ( matt & satin ) and I'm please with the finish, but I have found that it just will not completely dry.
The satin is worse than the matt, you can handle your model, but if you hold it just a little too long you feel it slightly sticky as you move your fingers. It does not leave any marks though.
I'm thinning before spraying with the recommended White Spirit and waiting the allotted time for recoating but it appears to make no difference. Humbrol don't appear to have a web site so I'm unable to ask them about it, I will try mailing the Airfix website as they are one and the same company.
Have you guys had similar problems with these clears, and how did you ger over the drying problem?
I know we've had a similar post before for this, but I was wondering if there had been any developments.
