Lets not forget about Windex. Windex thins and cleans up Tamiya very well. Windex is also very effective during brush painting; preventing paint from drying on the brush and extending drying time.

There are several alternatives, rubbing alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, windscreen wiper fluid etc.

I use a mix of windscreen wiper fluid (winter mix with alcohol NOT GLYCOL), alcohol (90%) and demineralized water.

Basicly a mix of with +/- 70% alcohol wil do the job.

Alternatives to Tamiya's paint thinner

Hey guys,

Is there anything else out there that I can use to thin tamiya's paints besides tamiya's paint thinner? Would alcohol or something like that work? I go through those little bottles of thinner very quickly and was curious if there is a cheaper alternitive. any tips or comments are more than welcome! Smile [:)]
