That salt thing...
Posted by ipms40049 on Sunday, May 29, 2005 10:22 AM
.. when using salt for chipped paint effect. I have my aluminum coat down, now do I spray water on the areas that I want to put the salt, then put the salt where I want the chipped look, then let that dry, then spray my top coat? is this how its done?
Or where was that article at that had this in it?

And will regular table salt work?

Pat, I found it worked really well if you do it exactly the way Swanny describes. If you want to see my results, I did it on my RCAF 1sqdn Hurricane Mk1 over in the aircraft section.
