Removing paint and "chrome" plating

i think it may, but i aint sure mate,,, if u got some laying about, give it a go, u ainyt got nothing to loose
i know that straight house hold bleach will remove chrome plating, but ive never tried this....
u also could try some other paint strippers, CSC, easy off oven remover or amonia

The easiest and safest way to remove the chrome plating on plastic parts is to soak them in Westley's Bleach White, the stuff intended to clean white side wall tires. Is available anyplace you buy automotive accessories, such as cleaners, wax, etc. It takes one or two hours. Wash with soap and warm water when done.
I use DOT-3 brake fluid to remove old paint and decals. It is a petroleum product,so you should use some ventilation and probably rubber gloves when using this stuff. Soak for 1/2 hour to an hour, then scrub LIGHTLY with a cotton swab or old toothbrush. Wash thoroughly with soap and warm water when done.

Yeah, there are several car parts places nearby, so I'll look for some of this "Bleach White". I'm also going to experiment whth the oven cleaner,too.
