I use a generic lacquer thinner that I think I picked up at Wal-mart. It will thin both acrylics and enamels. I use Gunze acrylics mostly and thin them with water, but it does fine with the enamels.

The Alclad guys told me to use Acetone as a laquer thinner if I couldn't find their own product. I don't use it as a thinner for acruclics or enamels, but it's terrific for cleaning up anything you care to name. Fumes are bad though, I always clean up under the range hood. The Alclad airbrush cleaner (which I assume is a laquer thinner) just eats straight through enamel, future, etc in no time.
