I've used Testors International Orange on my A5M4K trainer, looks pretty close to me.

"Mr. Sensitive" here!
I didn't think you were intentionally being Mr. Insensitive, but a lot of people do innocently use that term without realizing at all the impact it may have. I generally do not comment at all when I see it in the forums, but since I was going to directly respond to your color question here, I felt I should mention it. If that's being a "Mr. Sensitive," then I guess that's me! Big Smile [:D]
I can guarantee you, however, that there are people a LOT more sensitive than I am on this issue out there. Like my Japanese fiance and her family, my Japanese friends, teachers, and host family from my university days, my Japanese co-workers, and all the Japanese guys in my modelling club here in Osaka, where I've lived since 1993.

I don't think I was being over-sensitive, just common-sensitive in pointing out something that could be offensive. Wink [;)]

Anyway, no big whoop! Big Smile [:D] Let's model.

What trainer are you building?

The use of the term "Jap" in a non-historical context (i.e., a quote) can be viewed as offensive to some, particulalry here in Japan.
Perhaps you simply meant it as a harmless abbreviation of "Japanese," but please realize that the term "Jap" carries a heavy emotional impact here in Japan and in Asia.

Not trying to be the PC Police here, but I thought it best to mention this. This is a global site, after all. Smile [:)]

As for the color, I don't know if this will help, but Gunze Sangyo #58 Orange Yellow is the correct color.

Hi, are you refering to the color applied to the aircraft shown in the link?

Here's the link:
http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=60738

If it is, I suggest you e-mail Tamiya regarding color suggestions (they have them for other aircraft).

Hope this helps!
