Painting Fallschirmjagers
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, June 21, 2005 3:35 PM
Hey all,

After a long while of fearing stepping out of the safety of the Tamiya élitists club, I finally bought myself some Dragon figures and, after a bit of tweaking, was mightily impressed by their quality and dynamism. I didn't stop to think however, when giddily putting the kit together, how I was going to paint them.

As of yet, I still haven't found any references on the net about ANY kind of German Paratrooper uniforms (most photos are in black and white) and would greatly appreciate any advice on how to achieve certain typical Fallshchirmjager finishes. Internet references also welcome!

Thanks in advance! Big Smile [:D]

I thought dragon's boxart can be used as a pretty good reference for your painting.

Seb;

A great reference with the "How - to" you require is the modelling manual series published by OSPREY - World War II Figures. It has detailed description of step by step process for all scales and indicates the colour to be used.

You will also find some colour photos at this website http://www.greendevils.com/greendevils/

I hope this helps get your Green Devils finished.

Cheers;

Gregory
