I read over on Swanny's website that Krylon makes a good primer for Aclad. Does the same Hold true for Testors Metalizer's

The primer for testors metalizers isn't as important as the sealer coat that you put on afterwards. The testors metalizers will fall off if you even look at them and squint the wrong way Laugh [(-D]

BTW that doesn't stop me from using them. I lov 'em and use them all the time.

I forgot to say the reason for Krylon as a primer for alclad is different than for other paints in general. Most people think that alclad will damage plastic is sprayed right on the model and the black gloss coat of Krylon provides a smooth protective finish for alclad that just works well.

As far as working for Metalizers, you'll just have to try it. It's all about the black basecoat showing through the metalizer paint to create a depth effect. It may work very nicely.
