I agree with all of the above. The Alcad paints are fabulous for a metal finish. Future over these tend to "dirty" the Alcad paints less than any other clear coat I have used.

Metalizers make the parts look like metal. Not plastic painted with silver paint, they look like metal. I've used a lot of the MM buffing metalizers and they are OK. They do tend to rub off if they aren't coated properly and when they are coated they tend to lose some of their sheen. Alclad tends to work better in my opinion.

Virtually all metalizers are laquers and should be treated as such. Thin with laquer thinner, clean up with laquer thinner, use ONLY with plenty of ventilation and, if possible, use a respirator.

I've never used a metalizer paint before. I'm about to do a model that calls for a non buffing aluminum metalizer paint. I have air brushed only acrylics to this point. What does this paint have over say an aluminum acrylic paint? Any issues air brushing with it?
