Saerch through the topics for "Aztek" (there are literally hundreds of them)and then decide for yourself. It's a common question; some have good luck with them, some don't. Having never used one myself I won't pass judgement.

If it's the non-Aztek plastic brush that looks like the Badger 250 on This Page I wouldn't waste my time with it for modeling. Refer to This Thread on the Badger 250 since it's similar.

The set you describe sounds like an Aztek, either the A430 or A470. I had (technically still have, but no longer use) an A430. I'm squarely in the camp which had a bad experience with it. During its short service life it worked adequately, and then it broke. Its body would no longer allow air to pass through it. I had religiously followed all of its cleaning and general use directions, so the failure was due to the airbrush as opposed to misuse. Having read a number of similar experiences from other Aztek owners, I conclude that my Aztek's failure was not due to some rare manufacturing defect, but is rather a persistant problem that will affect a noticable percentage of Azteks.
