Oil lubricated compressor
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, July 18, 2005 2:03 PM
Hello,
During my art school years, I was warned not to use an oil lubricated compressor due to oil may get into the air flow even if you used an air filter. Is this true or false? I have only used an oil less compressor and an compressed air-tank before.

Hey Cat-just use a moisture trap and remember to drain the tank-there is a drain spigot.

Can't make a definitive true or false statement but I use a cheap hardware store type oil lubricated compressor and don't believe I get an oil contaminated flow. Indeed I am very happy with how it is working.
