Hey-Bg-you can get a big bottle-remember-your airbrush needs maybe 27 psi which leaves lots for kids tyres-maybe not for your car and these bottles are refillable at a fairly low cost (it's been many years for me so I can't say what the cost would be-but a phone call will clear that up).

Woof! Hang in there, guys. Ever think of using a bottle of air from your local welding supply? They can be fitted with moisture traps (although I don't think you'll need it) and a pressure regulator.

I've thought of that, but it would be nice to be able to pump up the kids tires etc.

Can you get nitrous oxide so I can giggle while building? Tongue [:P]

So long folks!

No, that one's nicer, and cheaper to boot!

What part of Canada are you in? I'm in Kelowna BC. (methinks I will edit my profile...)

Now I guess the real question is how noisy is it, and can it be used with an airbrush?

I'm in montreal quebec Cool [8D]

Looks at this, the answer to all your questions in the first phrase of description Big Smile [:D]

This quiet operation air compressor is perfect for home projects such as inflation, brad nailing, stapling, air brushing and more!

Sure, you can find out almost anything once you learn to read. Propeller [8-]

I'll have to ask them why Quebec gets a better compressor for cheap, better not be that Anglo-Franco thing again! LOL Mischief [:-,]

That's a pretty good deal *checks visa balance* Darn, will have to wait for payday (if I don't buy another kit or two).

Well Gues i'm an idiot...That was the american site Disapprove [V]

I concur with Scott. I had one of those 12 volt compressors and it successfully inflated an air mattress. Twice!

Home Depot has a "hobby" compressor for $89 CDN (BC price) product number is 943834

You might still have a hard time finding an adapter. There is an airbrush compressor and airbrush (Paasche) on Ebay (8206567990) for $30 US, I don't know what the freight would cost.

Hmmm, maybe I should... Big Smile [:D]

So long folks!

It "Might" work (emphasis on "Might"). You'll never convince me that it will put out 250 psi like it claims. I have very, very limited experience with those. Friend of mine once had one and needed to use it to inflate a flat tire. After 45 minutes it was only half flat. The one he had (and this was many years ago and a different brand) have virtually no air volume.

The other problem is that 1) You will need to find an adapter to go from the tire valve coupling to an airbrush. There should be one available but I'm not sure where. and 2) It runs off of 12 volts so you would have to have a 12 volt adapter to run it off a house receptacle or a 12 volt battery.

My advice would be to save a bit more and get something more useful. Something you can plug into the wall and easily connect to your airbrush. Assuming these stores are in Canada, places like Sears, Lowes, Home Depot, etc. have decent compressors for less than $100. Badger also has some remanufactured compressors on their "Garage Sale" page at http://www.badgerairbrush.com/garagesale.htm for $99

It's tough to link to a particular product on Canadian Tire's (AKA as Crappy Tire) web site. Entering your postal code will not get you spam, only the nearest store and pricing for your area. You can post the product number and we can all try again...

So long folks!

Same for me, but at the bottom of the box it said, "Example: M4S 2B8" so that's what I entered. I still didn't see anything that could be used with an airbrush though.

When I clicked on the link it asked me ofr my postal code to for better promotions. As I don't need any extra spam, I didn't go any further. I can't tell you whether it'll work in an airbrush or not since I didn't see the product. However, the only fool is the one who doesn't ask to be certain he's doing something right. Don't be afraid to ask questions.

I'm sure someone who is able to see the product will be able to tell you. I'm sorry I couldn't help you further.
