Nothing wrong with that my friend.
All that matters is that you are happy with it. Wink [;)]

Tanky-I also have a Thayer & Chandler, DeVelbiss and a Paasche.

PS-my main problem with my Iwata (can't remember the model #) is that even though I'm a big guy I have small fingers and the gravity-feed AB I had was so sliml it would rotate in my grip-the Badger's bigger and that's why I use it.

Hey Mike! The cost of an Iwata compressor: $50 over-priced. The cost of this thread: priceless! I hope we're all still friends-this was a fun thread.

PS-Mr. Tankmaster-Iwata's are excellent ABs. I even own one.

Was the compressor overpriced?
That is a good deal if not.

Mike, try using a roller, much cheaper to run.
http://airbrushcity.com/1620.htm Oh, and try one before you knock it! I've not used a Squirrel or possom, no wait, Badger before, so it's subjective, but as an AB newby this is doing everything I want from an AB and at quite some saving to Badger.
Still think a home depot roller would be just as goodWink [;)]

That all depends on the finger running the airbrush. Wink [;)]

Mike

Ain't that the truth. But look at it this way. If someone of the same skill level as themselves can get a finer line out of one airbursh than the other, which one is easier to use or better? Obviously someone with more skill can get a finer line with the badger, but the same person could get an EVEN finer line with the Iwata.
My 2 cents [2c]

Actually it is not fair comparing those two I don't believe.
The Iwata has a faster taper on the needle.
I think a better comparison would be the Badger 3155 Hybrid as it has a faster tapering needle. The 155 Anthem was designed as a T-shirt airbrush so it needs the larger nozzle/needle for more paint volume and thicker paints.

Yes sir, it is a very strange engine. I think Mr Peeler had smoked some enamel and seen the wife of Charles Singer dancing with a horse while Frau Blücher was whipping them with an Aztek; then he designed it. But it is an amazing machine (and God knows I don't like Paasches but this one is definitely apart, so I bought one; by the way, Paasche assistance is amazing even at such a long distance; I had direct contact with manufacturers a few times in my life : Paasche is great, Efbe is top, Ken Schlotfeld from Badger is a great man, Bell Creative, new owners of Aerograph are very nice, Gabbert from former East Germany is... from former East Germany, a pity as they make some great airbrushes, the PRS and Triplex , I don't know the others; what about you ? )
By the way, despite the fact I don't like Paasche, apart from the AB, I just bought their flow pencil , just to try. Has anybody here any experience with it ?

Thank you all for coming José

Thank you, chap, I did not remember the name, Frau Blücher. Let's try something :
AZTEK !!! ( sound of scared Badger and/or Iwata users ) It works!!!
In fact, I was thinking we in the Old World are very happy as we have two amazing secret weapons : Aerograph ( Sprite, Super 63, Super 93 and a new one I forgot the name, no not Frau Blücher ) and Harder & Steenbek ( Evolution, Grafo, etc...) Believe me, chaps : one day, you'll see a white light, it won't be a Near Death Experience, it will lead you to those wonderful machines . Now I will be passing in the rows with a plate and you are going to give me some money for the new church I am building ( mais qu'est-ce que j'ai, moi ? )

Thank you all for coming José

You mean... Frau Blucher?? *sound of scared horses*

I've had a Badger Model 200 for years, and I'm happy with it.

Thayer and Chandler brushes are available from Badger.

Oy bgrigg, i resemble that remark! I am 15 and I use an Iwata! Not a beginner really, i have been airbrushing models for a year now but still! I love that bursh, IU can do pencil lines without any hassle at all. My hp-bcs.

OK I have a 155 anthem as well and I thoroughly evaluated the Iwata against it. No matter what the badger can do, the Iwata can do it better. Fine lines are much easier to do with the hp-bcs, and i can get a finer line than with the badger. The only thing the badger has an edge in is it can spew out more paint at full flow than the iwata.

But i guess that's what you guys expect froma "girly" airbrush. Tongue [:P]

Trowlfazz, stop "badgering" us! Big Smile [:D]

I now have an airbrush, Badger 150 for which I paid $0.00. Thumbs Up [tup] I'll be investing $20 something bucks for a new needle and some bottles etc.

I had been looking at buying a new one, and had pretty well settled on the same airbrush. I looked hard at the Iwatas and can appreciate why somebody who uses them, likes them very much. But I don't think the Iwata is the best choice for a new user. Something like giving a 16yr old kid a Ferrari.

So long folks!
