Hey Tho9900, That j-aircraft site is great. Do you know if there is a site like that for WW II german aircraft?

if it is a later war Zero then Tamiya Dark Green, Blue Black which isn't available in most brands but you can mix with like 90% black and 10% blue, or maybe 80 to 20 just see what you like with what you are painting with... Cockpit color for a later war Zero would either be darker green or RAF Interior green with a drop of black in it. Propellor color would be tamiya brown...

which model zero are you building? A6M2 model 22 , A6M5 etc... it would give us a better way to see which paints might match better.

there's a lot of paint research on www.j-aircraft.com and it will help you hit the colors exact!!!!

---edit---

this may help, read the thread... especially about US interior green with a bit of white added...

There are some guys here who build Japanese planes and can give you the exact paints, but my stuff is mostly USAF. This should get you started though:

Sorry, hit the wrong button. To finish what I was saying, These colors are for the Mr Color brand of paints which are not readily available here. Has any one done a lot of Japanese WW II aircraft who knows where I can find the equivalent color in MM, Gunze or Tamiya?

Just bought a Hasagawa Zero fighter. Looking in the paint legend to see what colors I would need. I saw :
DARK GREEN (Mitsubishi)
COWLING COLOR
COCKPIT COLOR ( Mitsubishi)
