In addition to using it to gloss the surface prior to decaling, I also find that another coat of it AFTER decaling and prior to the falt coat helps blend the decals better than if you simply apply a flat coat over the decaled model.

I've used it before and it works good, make sure the decals are 100% cured though (I would give it at least 48 hrs) because that stuff can wrinkle then up in no time flat if they aren't all the way set!

Sorry to hijack the thread, but since his Q got answered I thought of one. Is there anything wrong with the Super-Gloss Spray by Testors (i think its testors). Im pretty bad with brushes and thought id get a more flat finish using a spray can.

Decal softeners also tend to turn future white, again you just future over the top once the decals cure and it goes back clear!

Another coat of Future should clear up the white fog. If not just wipe it off witha Q-Tip moistened with Windex.

Don't let water sit on a surface covered with Future. I wet sanded my P-51B wings and got water in the landing geat bays and the water that sat turned the future white. Now I have to strip the paint and repaint.

This should answer all your questions about Future:

Virtually all of the online hobby shops will carry paint. I personally prefer Squadron at www.squadron.com

Qs about FUTURE and enamel paints
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, July 31, 2005 12:29 AM
So what is the best way to apply FUTURE and when? After painting and after the decals have been set into place? I am working on a 1:32 Hunter and I am also trying out some new weathering techniques that involve laying down some wet salt on the silver primer, so after I lay down the top coat I can rub the salt off to reveal the silver base coat. Should I then apply the FUTURE, before or after decaling? Any advise or suggestions will really help. My other question was just in regards to where on-line through a U.S company will I be able to pick up some enamel paints cheap, maybe a company that offers RAF colors. I am having a tough time finding that gold mine.
